The Department of Anesthesia is composed of Board–certified consultant. More 3,000 major operations are performed every year in eight operating theaters and two delivery suites with the state–of–the–art equipment for anesthesia care and monitoring. Operating rooms are all equipped with ECG monitors, pulse oximeters, and piped–in gas delivery system. Post operative pain relief is also provided, and many patients receiving epidural anesthesia are remarkably pain–free during the first 24–hours after surgery. Patients in labor and delivery may also request epidural anesthesia coverage for "painless" childbirth.
