RENAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT

The Hemodialysis Unit is a specialized section which provides renal function in patients with renal failure.

The Nursing Service rendered in this area aims to provide the utmost supportive measures and comprehensive care to patients whose welfare depends upon the use of artificial kidney treatment.

Objectives

1. To be aware of the principles and techniques involved in the operation of the artificial kidney machine.
2. To give psychological support and comprehensive care to patient during hemodialysis.
3. To make critical observations and initiate appropriate nursing action when complication arise during dialysis.

Monday–Saturday: 6:00AM–6:00PM
First Shift schedule: 8:00 am–12:00nn
Second shift schedule: 12:00nn–4:00 pm
Third Shift: 4:00pm–8:00 pm No Wednesday
