The Department of Surgery is staffed by well-trained surgical practitioners of different specialties accredited by the Philippines College of Surgeons. Among these specialties are General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Plastic Reconstructive and Maxillo-Facial Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Head and Neck Surgery, and Urology. The department prides in being able to perform Laparoscopic Surgeries specially Cholecystectomies. A recent addition to various subspecialties is the establishment of the section of Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgery (TCVS). The section on TCVS prides itself on sharing good outcome of coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery patients.

The Department has an accredited training program in General Surgery by the Philippine Board Surgery (PBS) and has produced graduates highly trained in the art and practice of General Surgery.
